Hi, I'm new to the forum and just bought a 2004 3D, problem is it came without the Kart seat. I know I am fishing ( I have seen them on ebay for 400.00) but can anyone point me in a different (cheaper) alternative?
thanks,
Sean

Price...

That Kart seat runs between $400 and $500 bucks most anywhere you go. If you find an old Seadoo Scrap yard, you might find it but even then, I doubt it would be in good shape.... We have a scrap yard here in Mobile and I have never even seen the 3-D there........

I'm not sure where you live but you could check craigs list, I have seen some on there for as low as 50 bucks. good lucks, and happy hunting

Craigs list...

Don't use Craigslist for purchases....

rford09, I'm not sure how often you have used Craigslist but it's really a crooked internet scam type place. I think ebay is about the same way.

I often tell people if they are looking to sell something, why would they advertise anonymously? Does it mean your hiding something? There are too many local places for people to sell for free and not ge worried about getting screwed.

I kinda got screwed on ebay not once but twice. I haven't shopped there since. I'm surely not going to use craigslist.

Just my personaly opinion gathered by some experience. My opinion, you'd do better off if you look in your own classifieds......

Seadoosnipe, I am sorry for your bad experience on ebay. I have been using ebay for years, buying and selling things, and have never had any problems. However I have seen a few scams on craigslist, but if you deal with local people and physcially see what you are buying, I think that it is a great way to find what your looking for. but all in all you have to do what your comfortable with.

Likewise. I only buy locally from craigslist and i've never had a problem with ebay either. I bought my pwc's through craigslist and the seller was honest right down to showing me invoices from the shop he used to service the ski's.

I bit the bullet on a kart seat for my 2007. Roughly $600 shipped from J&M Camper. Only place I could find that still had the right color. I will say it's a beautifully made seat, and I think it's a must have for the 3D. You have to be drunk to pull the trigger on the purchase though :)
