Well after months of questions and opinions on this board ( thank you all very much!) I made a purchase today.

I ended up with a Sea Doo GTI SE 130 ...

Originally I considers the Spark. After looking at them and considering the Delaware Bay as my main riding area, I ruled them out.
I then thought about the GTS 130... Really liked it and started getting prices. I have three kids under 12 , so it seemed like a good option. We cruise to beaches and fish, ride rivers and the bay , and the ski I have, my one and only was a Polaris 900 SL...but it is a 1996, and not too reliable these days.

I made a decision that during our local boat show id haggle and shop.

With more help from everyone here, I got to shopping.
The local dealership had a Sea Doo GTI SE 130 leftover from 2013...the initial price was 9800, and they didn't offer much. I considered driving to Georgia for an awesome deal Tiny had, but his boat show had ended... So I ended up getting:

The. 2013 for $8200, with the 1/3 BRP warranty and coverage. 60 month fn, no prep or fees, except the registration and title and I got the trailer for $750. I'm a happy camper! Thank you all again!

You will like the ski...

Nothing wrong with the Spark, the ski you bought will be much better for you and your kids.

What so you mean by read the owners manual? Something specific I should be worried about ?? They are going to do a two hour run thru with me April 1 at the dealership

It is very important, I learned the hard way not reading my manual, you know most of us guys (assuming you are guy) never read the manual, I NEVER DO! - sheez, but I learned my lesson - for example: Did you know you cannot use your foot to reboard the PWC with the boarding step? you have to use your knee? I NEVER KNEW THAT! lol

Also, I learned so much that I didnt know.. another example (this is only specific to the Spark - I never seen it in any youtube video - or the dealer - and your GTI manual probably has something alike) - that there is a storage area for emergency aid (like a tow rope - flares - horn etc).. in the Spark? thats a blessing because the Spark is so limited in storage..

More importantly I feel is safety reasons, its very important you read your manual for hazardous things that your never told (like dont take your time reboarding your GTI be in the rear because you can poison yourself with exhaust fumes).. etc.

Interesting! Thanks I will be sure to read it all. I'm part of my coast guard aux, so a dumb mistake would be noticed by many. That is cool about the compartment on the spark!
This ski has sooo much more storage and amenities vs my Polaris, I won't want to miss a thing .... Heck, even the trailer is wayyyy different. Thank you!

I did 23 years in the Coast Guard and also owned Polaris skis before getting my Seadoos.. Had a 98 and a 99 model. Had them for 11 years and they were in great shape when i sold them. Bought them for 7800 with 11 hrs on them and sold them for 5600 11 years later...

Nice! I'm keeping my Polaris, but the problem I have is nobody around Delaware works on Polaris...I love the SL 900 though. Mine is a 1996. I picked it up 3 years ago for $1500 including the trailer and 2 vests... Never had any trouble until the end of the summer last year, and I think the carbs are in need of a rebuild... Couldn't sell it knowing that, so maybe I'll get it fixed eventually and my son can ride when he gets older.

Other than the fact that you'd probably have to be a contortionist to do this, would a trunk monkey (ok a seadoo monkey....) come out and bap you on the head if you did this? :p

COngrats on the purchase. I also bought a new GTI SE 130 last August...also a leftover so I got an amazing deal on it. Only put about 15 hrs on it last summer but it was a blast to ride.
