just bought 2 used skis houston tx

Da/man..your a "prem member" take advantage of the downloadable manual/s and "FREE" ?'s and answers, here on da site.

What part of houston are you in? I am south in Angleton. I do my own work, and with the manuals and moderate mechanical skills most of these tasks are pretty easy and straightforward.

Any dealer is going to screw you to some extent, so the more you know, the less they can screw you.

For example, most manuals tell you how much labor is in a job, so if you know that ahead of time you can negotiate costs with the dealer/mechanic based on what he says it will take and what the manual says.

yeah, here ya Scoop...only prob with "negotiating" then, is..you gonna trust the work then? Somewhat like, arguing with the voice thru the drive-thru at fast-food place,...you gonna eat it after you just yelled/argued with them?

Im actually out of victoria.. I dont have alot of time for projects.. I work in Alaska and like to enjoy the time off. I know the dealerships charge a left nut for anything, ill buy new before using dealership mechanics (unless they are doing side work out the house at a reasonable rate)...

Do you consider Victoria to be near Houston?

Well, I guess if you fly to Alaska for work, Victoria seems relatively close to Houston.

You may have better luck in Corpus.

Hang out on here a bit and see if you can find someone in your area that will work along with you and charge you in six-packs!

And if you are riding that bike in your picture to houston, it really is "right down the road" and maybe an hour drive:reddevil:

So are you looking for a reputable repair shop, or just someone you can trust who works out of his garage?

some one with a good rep preferebly out of their own garage or shop.. no dealership work.. the picture of me on the Busa was actually taken at HMP there in Houston..
