Picked up my first seadoo boat Sunday.when out on lake I noticed the engines had different rpms when throttle s in same position is this normal .

There could be a number of reasons for this. Firstly check the impeller and wear-rings. I know my 05 had a damaged impeller and that threw the RPMs out by up to 2000

Welcome to the 200 club. Post some pics of your boat. Is yours supercharged?? I have the same issue non/s/c and cannot for the life of me figure it out. One revs faster than the other although both idle the same. At WOT one is 500 rpms less than the other when on the water. Out of the water one is still slower to match the other engine when the throttle is moved at the same time. It almost seems to idle down and then take off. This is the same after a full pump rebuild. I even adjusted the throttle cables and re-set the TPS on each engine. Both seem to open to the correct value. I am out of ideas.

Its about 1000 rpms difference when moving fast. It's the non supercharged 310 one .Been wanting this boat for a few years I finally pulled the trigger paid 12500 for it in good shape apart from front 2 seats a little uv worn.Am taking to dealers for the 50 hour service next week 450 will see when I take out afterwards.

mine is off also by about 300 rpm on the right side engine it is a 2006 non sc . but it also seems to surge when taking off from dead stop

When you say it surges at take off, is it the engine that surges or the vessel as a whole. You would expect that of the boat as a whole somewhat as the impellers bite into the water and get it moving. If it's the motor that surges, I would have a look at the wear ring and impeller first and check their condition, obviously dependent on how much the surge is.

Did you ever get this problem fixed? I have the same issue, mine is off by 500 rpms, new wear rings, impellers, pumps and all. The same engine lags for 2-3 secs as well when I throttle it up and then takes off but never matches the other engine. In or out of the water. The other engine picks up and goes almost instantly. Both start and idle perfect.
