i jus bought a 97 speedster the boat is not in the best conditions needs some cosmetic work but nothing major mostly the seats...i got it for 1k cash an i spent about 850 rebuilding the carbs and doing an oil block off so i wouldnt have to worry about the oil pump thingy blowing an my motors not getting any oil and blowing ! did i get a good deal or did i get ripped off???

I think 850 for a carb rebuild and oil pump bypass is nuts. You got raped.

Lets put it this way I could put two *new* skat trak impellers and new wear rings on both engines of my boat for about that price yeah you got taken.....

and im not 100 % sure but i think they serviced both motors...like change the plugs or wat not but i guess i still got raped !!! lol o well :rant: thanks guys

:ack:yea the boat does run but like i posted in another thread it doesnt take off as quick as i think it should im completely new the sea doo game so i have no idea wats going on...i gun the throttle and one of the motors feels like it slips or somethiing and wont take off...any ideas on wat that could be ? maybe wear ring ? or something more seriuos ????? but over all the mecanic did his job cuz the boat fires right up and hasnt gave any other problem !!!


are these boats good? are the reliable boats or am i gonna have to fix something every time i hit the water?
