Picked up some jetnetics flame arrestors for 35 shipped, so i figured why not get them. Are they a good design? Should i get some outerwears pre-filter material?

They look like the Ocean pros right?

They serve their purpose, but a clamp on style is the way to go. You can have them off in 10 secs vs 5 mins.

I believe so, they're purple. I bought them from HYDRONUT on PWC. He said they needed some new hardware to install, but he was going to include what was needed. I just want to get rid of that monstrosity of an air box and free up some space in the hull. Do you think i should get some outerwear pre-filter material, or should i be fine?

bringing this back to the top. doing some searching and read that you can get by with adjusting the ls and hs screws without having to change jetting. stock jetting for a 98 spx is 142.5 main, 1.5 needle and 70 pilot. would not changing the needle to the 2.0 and increasing the pilot size cause it to run that lean? i think the recommended pilot was a 75?
