jskillz28 Active Member Apr 14, 2018 #1 Just replaced wear ring on both sides today. The gasket between the pump housing and ride shoe chewed away part of the gasket as we started the engine :facepalm what would happen if i didnt replace it right away?

mikidymac Moderator Staff member Moderator Apr 15, 2018 #2 It will suck air and cavitate. Like the clutch slipping on a car. It can also overheat the engine since it will pump air into the cooling system.
