Just changed my jet pump oil - perhaps the most foul smelling liquid ever.
When I took off the cap (the cone shaped thing) to to drain the oil, I noticed that inside the cap was some sort of bushing that rests up against the pump. It looked pretty worn and the sides almost looked a bit melted. But the bushing still seemed to rest nicely against the pump. So, I am wondering if that is what the cap is supposed to look like. I should have taken a pic - but I was in a bit of a hurry.
The pump is all sealed up again, but if anyone can tell me that I might have a problem, I can pull the cap off again. Maybe others might have pics of what the inside of the cap is supposed to look like.
Thanks in advance!
