Wow! finally I was able to get on plane, without any problems, it was awesome, also, my boat felt new wow, unbelievable, I was shocked on how "fast" my boat went to plane.

I have videos, they are coming right up. However, when a person fell of the wakeboard in front of us, I decided to slow down and stop, and my boat didnt like that, and it didnt get to plane for a little while.

Well I kept playing with it, and bam it went to plane again and no problems after that. It seems like if my gas is bad? or maybe i premix too much?

I did put in brand new spark plugs after I rebuilt my carburetors, do you think that maybe too much oil is fouling my carbs too?

Anything everything went smooth today with no problems, even my little pee hole worked as it should (thank God). The radio shack beeper worked flawlessly, and my rpm gauge worked wonderful too, my reverse shift cable worked awesome too!

I just need help with my multi gauge, nothing is showing on the LEDS there? on the led display only the red lights?

Thanks Guys!! thank this board it has really helped me! and my carbs wow, what a difference!!

Here is short 2 minute video of my progress on my boat! Thanks a lot Seadoofurom.com!

Well I took the boat out again yesterday 7-10-2011, and my engine bogged down again? It ran great for the first hour (like video on top), and all of a sudden it just wants to bog down at 4000 rpm? If I play with my throttle a little and push it up and then down, I got to go to plane again, but I hate going through this all the time?

What can it be? Im feeling that its fuel related, I guess Rfoster is right, maybe I think I should throw in another 10 gallons of the best fuel (shell 91) in there, another new set of spark plugs, and ride for like hours to clean this thing out. ??

Here is a video of me and my kids yesterday:

What I have seen and found is that there is a water line that gos to the jet pump housing. This line then gos to a T fitting then to the rav valve on the exhaust can. If there is a vac leak in this line anywhere the valve will not open correctly and bog. If you flutter with the throttle you can get it tricked into opening and staying open for a bit. Check number 11 in picture added. I found mine broke or cracked and did just this. IF between the two lines that go to this valve there is not a pressure difference the valve will not operate correctly.

Cheers Don.

Im beting its because you have too much oil. You need to get that gas out and only premix or use the injection system, not both. Higher grade gas wont make much difference, you are wasting money.

Ok.. I stand corrected. How do I get the gas out? I think your right Rfoster the gas in there I think keeps fouling up my plugs and my carburetors...

You can buy a little hand pump made for siphoning gas. harbor freight has them for under 10 bucks. Get the old gas out,put in good gas and new plugs. Then take it out. I bet you see a difference.

OK Rfoster, I removed all the gas in there, i had 10 gallons, however, remember that the last "6 gallons" I put in there with no oil/mix.. so I had 4 gallons in there premixed...

Though my spark plugs look "burnt" (like really black), after only 1 hour of use..... I did check my oil and it looks like if the oil pump is working...... so Im at a loss???

Well all the gas and oil mixes together. So its not like you had 6 gallons of good gas and 4 of premix. All the gas going into the engine had oil in it and you also had the injection system adding oil. Your plugs shouldnt be black and oil soaked that fast. Put some new ones in. Sounds like you also keep the gas tank fairly low. Which is bad, it sucks any old crap off the bottom. Go put like 20 gallons in it. $100 later im betting it runs better.

Thank you, ok im gonna go do that.. thanks again!! also thank you to DonoBBD, i havent taken a look at that yet DonoBBD but I will, thanks again guys and ill check back with you

The black plastic part marked 11 can be broke right where is passes through the hull and it can suck air. Mine was broke just like that. I used a piece of 3/8 galvanized pipe on mine. Fresh water only.

Don.

OK Rfoster130

I finally removed all the gasoline in the gas tank, and added fresh gasoline in the tank, and a brand new set of spark plugs, and the boat acted awesome! However, after about an hour riding, it bogged down again, this time, I brought another set of spark plugs, I replaced the spark plugs, but this time I had to play with my throttle to get it up to plane, I would put the throttle all the way up, and work it back down, and so forth, until i hit 4000 rpm, than slowly go back up, and it worked that way... Maybe somebody can tell me? is it that piece that DonoBBD is talking about, here is a video of us going back out on the water with the new gasoline and no premix:

That part sucks water from the jet to cool the motor. You will see that there is a T fitting in that line before it gets to the head of the motor. If you do not get a vacuum on that line the rav valve on the exhaust will not open and let the motor rev up. I chased this problem all over the place. Once I pulled the jet drive I seen that part number 11 above was broke in half right where it passes through the hull of the boat at the back. It is thin plastic and I can see if cracked it would not get the vacuum needed to work the valve.

I could feather the throttle and trick her to getting past that bad spot but it was a pain. Now with a solid fix she is as good as new and would pull the A$$ off a dump truck.

Cheers Don.

Please dont think this is a stupid question, but is it hard to get into? Is that where the pump is? or is it outside by where the carburetors are? sorry
