The boat lives. I just got through putting the new head and head cover on. It fires up first try and idles great with no water coming out from anywhere it's not suppose to come from. The only problems it seems is when I come up on the RPMs it seems to surge, like it's just getting shots of gas. Anybody with any ideas?

I pulled the carbs and cleaned them up, not knowing what else to do with them. What should I be looking for?............dude your fast

did you clean them, or rebuild them. If rebuilt, hope you didnt replace the n/s spring...

REcheck the settings, make sure the xcellerator pump is "squirting" into throat of carb, other than that, if still surg'n, disconnect the red wire from rectifier, see if that works, if so, then replace it.

Wife still bent about sell'n the Sportster 1800, if you no whatta mean...(dude, ur fast)

All I did was clean the carbs. I gave them a real good cleaning. I will try the rectifier thing tomorow and see what happens. Thanks Tim
