Hey guys. Have a 2004 XPdi. It goes well, however, sometimes the MAINT warning light comes on. It comes on rarely and seems to only happen after riding for a while. Checked the rectifier. Seems to be working ok. But have orded a new one as it has all corrosion on it and the voltage did reach 15volts for a couple of seconds when i did a test on it.

I thought I would check the exhaust system and I found this! I don't no if its just heat or if it is an exhaust leak. Its hard to get to because its under the engine.

What do you guys think? Doesn't look good hey.

Looks like a leak to me. Check that coupler for a hole on the bottom. ALSO... check the water going into the pipe. If it's not spraying water into the pipe, it will run hot.

you just bought that ski? That coupler is aftermarket, so previuos owner had the leak, but fixed it. Still check the cooling system though.

Thanks guys. Yes I bought the ski a few months ago. So I dare say the owner did replace that coupler.

I will check the cooling system to the exhaust and for that heat damage to the hull, I will probably smear that dow corning heat sealant all round it and the coupler. Hopefully covers the leak if there is one.

Ski runs real nice otherwise. Cheers :bigear:
