hey guys i saw this on CL today-

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/boa/3260439667.html

is this a good buy? considering they are technically $900 a piece..and thinking they can go over $2000...im not worried about them not working i am going to fix them up for my shop class this year. sounds like one just needs a carb clean and the other might need some ignition stuff. sounds easy.

OR this,

this one is sketchy because idk if the electronics were damaged...but if they are not then all i have to do is clean the internals and overhaul it..easy

i would think the first ones a pretty good deal , given you dont have to rebuild both engines, i would visit em , and go through the following.

-fuel lines (if they are grey they need replaced nock 50 off per ski that has em)
-make sure they turn over, if they dont , pull the plugs and try to spin the PTO at the back , if it spins , you know the motors not tied up and at the worst you might be looking at a top end rebuild.

Honestly at that price, a good condition well running one of those skis would sell................so its a hell of a deal. but id throw him 1500 and see if he bites , tell him that usually when they sit for that long the hole engine needs gone through.

Also keep in mind , those are 787s which are a little underpowered compared to the next year where they came out with the 951 XP , will they be fun ? heck yeah , but i just want you to know what your getting into lol.

if i had the money , id do it. Even if the motor is trashed in each one of those , you could still break even with new sbt blocks.

So yeah, in short go for it lol.
