I was just wandering around the boards wasting time until I can go down to the lake for the weekend and I was reading old horror stories about engines overheating. I got the boat out of storage last week and did all the begin of season prep and washing and was ready to use it for the holiday. One thing i always wondered was whether my beeper worked correctly.

My question is, is there a way to do a beep test to see if all the alarms are working? I get the standard two beeps when i attach the lanyard but that is the only alarm I have ever heard so far for the year I have had the speedster.

Also, what is the part number for the radio shack alarm replacement alot of people use to fix their beepers? I just wanted to add that to my ever increasing file of just in cases to have at the lake.

In case the info is needed I have a 1997 speedster twin engine.

That is the test for the beeper. If you have bad sensors, that is a different story... You have low oil, over heat, and diagnostic alarms. If you get 2 beeps all is ready to start... just another alarm.
