I bought my boat 6 months ago and I think I'm ready for an upgrade. I might have to go look at this boat early next week.

Seems expensive for a used boat.

If it is the supercharged engine... you will be needing the 100 hr service on it soon. That can be upward of $1k depending on the dealer. (it's a supercharger rebuild)

In his listing he is looking for someone to take over his payments. $16,500 is way too much but his payments maybe a steel!!!
I have no Idea how taking over someone’s payments work but I am looking into it.

I have thought about buying a challenger 180, I just think I would be disappointed by the speed. I am holding out for a speedster 20FT.

That price is way too much. I have seen 08's going for 15,000.

Not really sure if these boats are really an "upgrade" for me, they look nicer/newer but there really isn't that much difference...

To take over the payments... they have to put the loan in your name. So... you would have to qualify for what ever he did... but $16k for a 5 year old boat is no deal. (and don't forget about the $$$, 100hr supercharger rebuild) Last summer... I found new left over '08 for around $18k. So... for a few thousand more... it would have been a new boat, with a 3 year warranty.

In my book... $16k and no warranty is a bad combo. It could die the first time out.

he said his payments were $205.... and It cant be more than 5 years he owes on it. $205 x (12x5) = 12,300 or less.... that's including intrest so maybe under $10,000.

we will see when he returns my email.

He may even be on this board... who knows...lol

Maybe he bought it new in 2006. Then if he got a 15 year loan, he still has about 120 payments left. That makes 24,600. Not quite so attractive now.

Way over priced...and from what I have heard their performance is poor. If you want a 180 then make sure you at least get the 255HP engine.
