I just bought my first ski and its a 91 seadoo xp needs some engine work but is it ok to let the engine run without it being in the water? Also does anyone have a pic of the front side on the engine? I took off that cap on the front side and there are 2 plugs 1 is a 2 prong and the other is a 3 prong so i think there is something missing. PLease help thanks Michael

Is it OK

You can crank your Sea-doo without water to it but only to insure it will crank before putting it in the water (makes it easier to crank after launching also) BUT YOU CANNOT RUN THE ENGINE ANY LENGTH OF TIME WITHOUT WATER TO KEEP IT COOL. There is an adapter to be used to flush your Sea-Doo after using it and that can be used if you want to run it when out of the water.

I do not know about your caps on the motor.
