Is A r&D pipe any good

I have a R&D mid pipe that a buddy gave me, for my 2000 GTX 951. Is there anything to gain by putting this on, or is it just a wast of time. It has a mount on it, like I stock pipe, so far the only feedback I got on another site was about the mount.

The only way the R & D (which is one of the best in aftermarket mods) pipe is going to be any good to you is if you change out the flame arrestor with a less restrictive one and depending on your fuel type (injection or aspirated) you'll need to change your jet sizes or re-tune your injection system.

Just putting the pipe on alone will make no changes to the performance. As a matter of fact, putting it on without making the other changes will make it run worse....................:cheers:
