I was up under the ski with a light yesterday and noticed that a bolt that holds the grate on has a broken off head. How do I get that out? I'm afraid to try to remove the rest. They may break off as well. Any suggestions?
Inside the hull below the drive shaft there are 2 blobs of silicone that are hiding the lock nuts that are on the other end of those bolts. You must remove these first.
Ok. Thanks. How it got broke off is a mystery to me. I'm going to have to find a stainless steel bolt and replace it. I'll look tonight as soon as I can and see. I'm going to have to replace the silicone I take it. Is it special or just any silicone will suffice?
