Injection oil in crankcase?

Hi everyone. Does anyone know of a way to drain the crank case of a 96xp without taking the top end off of it? I took my carbs off of the ski to rebuild them and forgot to pinch off the oil injection lines. I think that the injection oil may have leaked into my crank case from the injectors because it has been about 4 months since i pulled the carbs and the oil tank now only has about 2 inches of oil remaining in it. There was some oil in the bottom of the ski, but i don't think that it was enough to be all of the oil from my oil tank. since I have the carbs off of it, I took my shop vac and used a piece of fuel hose to suck out as much as i could from the bottom of the case threw the holes that the carbs mount to. Does anyone have any ideas on how to drain it, or how to see how much oil is in there!? What will happen if i do not get all of the oil out and put the carbs back on? Will the oil mess anything up? Thanks for your help!

If you feel you may have a bad case of excessive oil in the lower case, remove the RV cover but be sure to slide a butter knife in there between the RV cover and the Rotary valve plate to hold the plate again the engine as you pull the cover off. Then
put a zip tie on the splined Gear to keep the plate against the engine. Have a large catch bowl and some towels handy, then tip the ski on its side to drain all that oil out. Also replace those small RV oil lines from pump to the cover. They should be replaced about every 3-4 years as they become brittle and break from age. Bill

Little excess oil never hurt anything, bud. Pull plugs, ground plug caps to post, and hit start button, while holding towel over the holes..(trust me). Then re-install plugs, and fire away. Will smoke sum, but no worries, it'll clear up, then skis' good. If anything, inspect the grommett at bottom of oil tank, could be going bad..

I've done that, still have quite a bit of oil coming out. If I put he plugs back in, it won't turn over. How long should it take to get the oil out of the cylinders?

it will take a while depending on how much you got in there. I had the same problem and it took me about two full charges on my battery to get all the oil out to get it to fire so just take your time with it and be patient itll all come out.

My biggest question is how did the oil get in the crankcase, and will it continue or was this just because it set up for a while. How much oil is suposed to be in the crankcase?
