Indicaters on the side

There are two indicaters(sp?) on the side. I know one is for water from the tuned pipe and then I have another hose that goes to the other hole but is just laying by the battery hold down. Anyone know where it is supposed to go? I tied looking at the service manual but really can't see where that hose goes.

its a battery vent hose.
