Impeller selection

I have a 94 GTX which I am installing a new wear ring my question is I have the origional impeller part # 271000280 I also have another impeller 271000307 Would there be any advantages/disadvantages to installing one or the other. I found the pitch for the 271000280 is 15/21 and the 271000307 is 16/24.

Better hole shot with the 15/21, less top end.
Lose some out of the hole with the 16/24 but should gain top end speed.

With a 3 seater, the 16/24 will be very noticeably sluggish if you actually have 3 people (or even 2) i would think

how would either of these compare to a 18.8 used on the 90-94 sp?? is the 18.8 a non-progressive?
