I damaged the starboard impeller this weekend. the damage looks to me to be minimal. some slight dings in it on the blade edges and the housing on the edges of the veins.

I can order a new impeller and wear ring. This is my most costly option. One advantage is that then I will have a spare impeller but then I need to decide what to do with the old one. Repair it myself or have it repaired?

To me the damaged one looks like I could take my die grinder with a 3M pad and smooth the blades back out. I plan on doing the same with the housing veins as they are simply guides and I cant see how some slight blemishes in it would make much difference as long as they are smooth. If I smooth out the blades on the impeller, will that be sufficient?

The wear ring is really grooved up so i will for sure order it.

If I need to have it repaired, who would you recommend to do it?

i would just buy a new one and keep it as a spare. replacing them and wear rings are pretty easy. at least its good for piece of mind
