I'm new here and I feel like a fool for the following story, so thanks in advance for any help.
I have a 2007 GTI SE 155hp with about 12 hours on it. Yesterday I sucked several rocks through the impeller at idle speed. I immediately pulled it out of the water and got it home where I was able to remove several rocks that were stuck in the stator veins. The weird thing was that a couple of these rocks seemed larger than the spaces between the impeller blades. Is it possible that some of these didnt go through impeller?
I checked the the impeller for damage and although there are scratches and dings it doesnt look to be bent or anything like that and it starts and runs fine. Are scratches and dings going to reduce acceleration and top speed?
Any thoughts on the worst case scenario for just running it how it is now? I'd like to avoid a trip to the dealer but I also dont want to make it worse.
