Hi there,

I haven’t asked any questions lately and I now have a few, so here it goes! Does any one know if the 05 4tech manual will work for my 06 4tech? And how do I know if I have a challenger cs with tower or if I have the challenger 180 4-tech? I thought they were the same thing??? I know mine came with the tower and the carpet, but it’s got the sc215hp... So witch one do I have, because when I look up parts or for the manual I never no witch on to look at?

And also does any one know why my acc. 12v outlet doesn’t work? All the fuses are good and the wires are connected in the back???

THANX for your help!!!!!

All the 4-tec engines are identical for all the years, with the exception of the super charged model. The sc version is just a different model with extras like the tower or carpeting. As for the repair end, the manuals should be the same.
Do you have power to the plug, or does it stop somewhere along the line. Check the power at the socket and back track till you find the problem. Process of elimination. It could be a bad socket or wire connection.

thanx...

thats great about the enginges! im getting ready to change out the washers soon!

for the 12acc. i have power at the socket but none of my things work in it!!! it blows my mind! its kinda funny if you think about it! my i pod adapter and cell phone charger work in my truck but not in my boat! ..... weird! lol... i think i just going to try to replace the socket! thats all i can think of!

:banghead:

I have run into the socket being a different shape than the item you plug into it. They are cheap to buy at like auto zone. Just replace it with one that fits, and your headache will be gone.

you gotta excuse my friend here, he's a little slow...

referring to, bought the boat, and not know the model....thats classic. and no offense, 06challenger

Well no offense taken! Im a federal firefighter and I have to have pretty thick skin to work here! If you think about it im not going to give you my boat because of a blown lighter fuse, maybe you should buy something newer than a 99 and you wont have to ask for hand outs. (i.e. My boat) also I don’t think you friend is SLOW, if you read what you wrote it makes no sense! "said F it".... think about it, it makes no sense, and this is coming from someone who has a college degree!

Also I don’t think it’s a dumb question, I purchased because I liked it, and on my 06 it doesn’t have any markings for what it is. I have also checked the registration and it just says 06 Challenger. So like I said when ever I look for parts I don’t know on witch model to pick. So I didn’t think it was a "classic" question.... but thanks for your input (no offense)

The CS was just a luxury package. Carpet windsheild different streering wheel etc. Makes no difference on the engine. Manuals are the same.

back the truck up, chief.

First, never thought it was a "dumb" question..."classic", was referring to ur "action" of purchasing the boat, not totally understanding the differences..etc, but just buying it, because "you can"....was not meant to to be derogatory/SO WHAT....understand.

Secondly, no need to get ur panties in a bunch, since your $16k(+) boat, has more problems, than my $1500 10yr old ski does,...will ever have.;)

This quote is the topic for discussion. The tone of this thread is no longer one that is beneficial to the thread owner. I am now closing this thread. I would like to advise timmyboy to please write in a way that all members can understand exactly what you are referring to, since it's easily mistaken the wrong way. While some may be able to understand your language others seem to take it as a personal affront. So, please write more in specifics and please, less critical.
