Hello Group!
New to the Forum and hoping someone can explain what is happening here.

The ski seems to be eating ignition coils, as I have replaced several over the past 3 seasons.

I'm guessing this is a common problem, but is there any fix for continuing on with this problem?

I finally gave up and took it to the worthless dealer to check it out, attached all the bad coils in a bag, and let them look at it.

They charged me 110 bux to look at it and did nothing. I immediately launched it on the way home to test it. SAME problem, runs rough and spits at times. The current situation is it runs on 2 until it warms up then runs perfect.

In the past, the coils just died one by one, and I could get it back up changing just the bad one. Now into the third set this season.

What the hell is going on here? I keep it in a heated garage over the winter and it has never been in salt water.....

Update on problem. The ski now runs rough, possible on 2 cylinders until it warms up then runs good the rest of the day. If you leave it sit for a week the same process starts over again.

Another post claims the plugs go bad, so I will replace all three and see what happens.

Ok the problem is fixed. Replaced all 3 plugs at the same time with new ones. The old ones had 35 hours on them and obviously 1 of them is bad. I can not see anything wrong with them by eye.

Runs like it is brand new! I knew it was fixed the moment I hit the starter.

So, I installed 3 Champion instead of the NGK brand, thinking it might make a difference - good or bad.... :-)

I seem to go through plugs every 10-12 hrs on my RXT. On a cold start it will run rough under load so i know its time to change when it starts doing that.
