When the power leads are connected to the terminals on the battery and the ignition key is plugged in, the display lights up as if everything is working fine. When trying to start the engine with this setup, it cranks but will not turn over (one or two turns and it dies). The jet ski was recently capsized for an extended period of time and the assumption is that the battery needs to be replaced (no water in engine, spark plugs checked, oil and filter changed). After trying to start the engine, the battery drops from 13 to about 7 volts when cranking. When the leads are unattached to the battery and connected to a battery charger/engine starter, the display doesn't even turn on. I'm not sure if the setup for that is just incorrect. What could be the problem/how can I verify the battery is at fault here?
