Ignition coil question

Hey guys....got an ignition coil today from ebay..need part #278000586...and got from ebay part#278000303...will it still work on my 1995 seadoo xp with 720 engine? Apparently this coil is for 657 engine but think it might still work...even though they are totally different part numbers?

95 was an odball year.

If the coil you got says "CDI" on it somewhere... then it should be OK. The earlier X engines had a 4 wire MAG, and an external CDI.

Thank you for your reply Dr Honda....The description on the ebay listing said it is off a seadoo 720 xp and specifically said CDI on the listing but i havent physically checked the coil for the stamp. It is a two wire setup.
