so here it, i finnally gathered enough mental power to deal with it again.
so the port side engine only works well if i fill the fuel filter manually with fresh fuel.
if i connect it normally with the pipe to the gas tank, it will spit cough and stall...:)
starbord engine works fine from gas tank.
any ideas ? ? ?

just to mention, gas is fresh, new spark plugs, rebuild carbs.

Thanks
Leo

Thanks for the reply Dr.
cleaned the pickup today, no change.
i dont have fuel selector, it goes from the pickup direct to the pump.
switch between the starboard and port engine fuel pump, no change.
new fuel filters, no change.
its obviously running Lean.
by the manual it says it could be "Leaking crankshaft seal(s), rotary valve cover O-ring(s)."
and i dont want to even think about that !!!
it means taking most of the engine apart.

any thoughts are welcome.

Thanks
Leo

If you think it's the crank seals... then do a leak-down test.

Try putting the carbs off the good engine, on to the one that is not running properly. Also, hook up the same fuel line to them. (the known good hose)

OR... a quick test is to move the fuel line on the bad engine to the good engine to see if the running problem follows the fuel lines.

Dr,
further more,
i took the pick up out and sunk the line that goes to that engine direct in the fuel tank, works perfect.....lol
could a clean pick up create that kinda problem ? ? ?
what could possibly go wrong in that pickup, there's nothing there.

Thanks
Leo
