Is the IBR Gen 2 failures just a hype? About to buy a RXTx 300 but with one yr warranty it has me thinking. Do you all have extended warranty on these newer ski's? If yes, how many yr, cost. Thanks

you should look at a guys thread on greenhulk forum had a stainless screw from his IBR shear off it was a rxtx 300 it dropped the reverse bucket into his venturi he was going 65 mph it threw him over the handlebars 30 ft . The machine only had 30 hours on it . So yes I probably would try to get at least 3 years warranty . I just bought one about 3 months ago I got 3 years . But after I saw that guys thread I definitely am going to Question the dealer about that stainless screw

Thanks ryffish. I did see the video. My RXTX-300 being delivered next Wed. Added 4 yr warranty with Western services for $800 with no deductible so I am good until 2021. Will ask dealer about the stainless screw. Hope this was only on the earlier ski's.

I have a RXT X 300 with 94 hrs on it. I purchased in March. I have searched for similar issue and have not found any. Hopefully for the rest of us it was just a faulty bolt and or electrical one shot glitch. But its in the back of my mind while riding.

31 hours on my TX300 this year and no issues. I think a lot of the IBR issues are from machines used in salt water.
