IBR circuit board removal. Was getting codes U0129, U16A4, U16A5 on my 2011 260is. Checked connectors, fuses, hi and low can buss continuity and no luck. Pulled IBR actuator, the motor is fine but circuit board showed signs of water intrusion. Wanted to remove circuit board for inspection and repair but couldn’t determined how to get it out without breaking. Made the call to go with a new IBR unit so decided to do a destructive dismantling and post pics so maybe someone else MIGHT be able to get theirs apart with out damage.
It looks like desoldering the four 12 volt power pins, nine can buss pins, and two others if you have the water tremp sensor that are all circled in red on the attached picture would let the boards to come out without breaking by allowing the pins to remain with the case. I went with the nuclear option and cut it all apart with a Dremel but had I known more about how it was assembled may it could have come out in-tacked. The Dremel cut off wheel wasn’t large enough to cut through all of the 9 pins on the buss connector and the three that were left pulled through the silicon easily so maybe they wouldn’t all have to be desoldered.

You can get the board out without cutting or desoldering any terminals. It has to be heated up and then carefully push the pins while pulling the board all evenly. It's not easy but can be done. There is someone repairing these boards.

Ski-doo
I have the same issues with pc board.
Do you have any info on who is repairing them ?
Any help would be appreciated.

No but if you find out pleas let me know.
After dozens of call I located a shop in Canada about two weeks ago that had 4 new ones 278003043. Due to the strong dollar, the $1715 Canadian dollars was about $1250 US Dollars. However, after their sales tax, shipping, and customs it hit my credit card for a grand total of $1512.49 by the time it showed up on my door step in Louisiana. But it’s brand new and I was glad to find it and get my 2011 GTX 260iS out of my garage and back on the lift! The best deal I could find on a used one was $1600 out of Texas.

There used to be a guy in Indiana a few years ago that I dealt with who was repairing them but I don't think he's doing it anymore. There is a place on ebay that is doing the newer ones but I don't think they are doing the older ones.

After a board gets fixed could the case be made somewhat water resistant after being destructibly dismantled?
Ski-doo mentioned heat to get the board out of the case but is there a less destructive way to get the case apart in the first place?
