You can use it with a random orbital buffer but incredible results will occur with a rotary with a wool pad. I've tried every marine polish I could find and this stuff is the real deal. In fact, Sea Ray wet sands every boat out of the mold and they use Buff Magic after the sanding to get amazing results.

Oh, I forgot to stress......After you use Buff Magic to get the shine where you want it you need to follow up with a good sealer to protect the Gelcoat. Shurhold recommends their Pro-polish but I used a 3M Sealer with great results.
