This morning i took a look at my hull of my brand new seadoo, and there was a sticker on it from the dealership with a barcode on it,and it was kind of falling off so i removed it,but when i did i noticed under it was a chrome piece about three inches long with words on both sides and something in the middle. i dont know what it is,and if i should do something about it.

i will post a picture shortly. i dont think it is much of anything. just wondering since i havent seen it before.

OMG, I could be wrong but you may be one lucky bastard. You know how in the Willy Wonka movie they put gold certificates in 5 candy bars. I think you may have just won a Seadoo Sweepstakes. Nah, sorry, I don't have a clue what it is.

haha,me either. could have to do with the gps or thermometer. not going to worry about it since it is close to the water line and wasnt covered up. im guessing its on all of the new ones.

is that a piece of tape holding it on or is that reside from the bar code sticker you pulled off or is it actually attached to the hull. Looks alien to me maybe your ski does WARP 5.

Im 99% sure its an rfid tag, they use them to track the skis as the leave/enter warehouses. Google image search rpm rfid tag images and you will see stuff that looks close. Pull it off before it sticks there forever.

and to bigjake; it is attached to the hull but there was a big white barcode over it,so i pulled it off and then used some goo-gone to get the leftover stuff off. but the was also a piece of thick plastic/tape over it that came off when i removed the barcode. this can be removed it is like another think piece of tape of it.
