I have a problem with my 97 xp!!!

Hi ya'll I'm having a problem with my 97 xp 787, I took it out to the lake and it ran beautiful for about 10 mins then all of the sudden I heard a noise, not a backfire, but more of air pressure loss sound then the ski shuts right down on me and wont start back up until its cold again. Anyone ever run into this problem that can steer me in the right direction?

I would start with a compression check.

Get some numbers, and let us know.

I picked up a compression tester today and tested both cylinders. The side towards the back of the ski has 130lbs and the one towards the front has 0lbs ugggghhh

Time to tear it down, at least pull the head off (10 mins) to take a look, please post back on what you find wrong with it.
