I have been using my Explorer (RIB) for the last 3 weeks......today I used my 97 GTI for the 1st time this season, dropped it into the water ran it in neutral with the seat off, to make sure no water leaking, them my 9 yr old son and I took off for a bout an hour, the ski was ging appx 3-4 miles slower than usual but seen to be running fine, then I got back to the ramp, loaded up the ski and headed home, I took off the seat to check the bildge it was filled with water! Took the plugs out, sinced w/ fresh, hooked up the hose and started the ski, I noticed no water leaking but a clamp was missing on the drive shaft boot ( the one closer to the engine) can this be the whole problem? am I that lucky? I will p/u clamps tomorrow. I am afraid that I will install the clamp start it up a rip the boot due to other issues! and I had no caitation!

gotta be a leak, or just simply water getting in from vents, etc. Maybe that clamp will fix it.

Your two stock buildges should work well. Myself I added an electric, but Im crazy..

Check to insure that your two pickups at the back of your hull arent plugged. (inside the machine)

Inside the back of your jet pump, if you look up in there you should see where and how the bilge work. Like a venturi. Theres supposed to be a little clear/whitish plastic piece thats on each exit, and ive heard if its NOT there, they wont work properly. They are hard to describe. Again, this is INSIDE the pump. But with a flashlight you should be able to see if they are there or not. Theres only 3 lines off a pump. Water INlet, and the two bilge lines.
