Hull/Deck Unions "cracked" ???

Hey friends - OK here's one. My '98 Speedster had a noticeable creaking below the helm area. I pulled all the various floats, skis, etc. out of the ski locker to explore. I found a silver dollar-sized chunk of very hard, light grey epoxy-like material laying loose in the bottom of the locker area.

Upon closer exam with a flashlight I noticed there are several "pylon-like" unions where the hull and deck are pinned together, and the grey material is a buffer or adhesive used in the middle of these joints. The stuff actually floats. Squeaking was caused by this material being busted out/cracking on two of the unions. I hit pretty hard a couple times the week before up in Big Bear when the afternoon chop came up.

So - what is this stuff, (adhesive, epoxy, etc) where can I get some, what is the fix, anyone done this before, what did I screw up now :( , etc...

Thanks all.

-M.

Maybe try some pictures. It helps to see what you are seeing.

And besides everyone likes to see what a good photographer you are.

Glue

Not sure what sea doo is using but in my Shop ( I repair rowing shells). We use a 3M body panle glue. Think its 5115 dont have it right here to check. Use could use something like Devon Plastic welder.. its got a alot of bond but will still have alittle give to it to help keep it from cracking.

Pictures added

So here are the images - Either side at the front of the ski locker pretty much.

Same questions apply.
Thanks guys. In restrospect - I am trying to figure out if I have every done anything that would have an impact on the hull hard enough to do this. I really don't drive my boat differently from the rest of you IMO... :(

i highly doubt those are from any kind of driving that youve been dooing. they look like they are from the material expanding and contracting. probly somting due to age of the toothpaste looking stuff. im sure there are a tomn of other peeps boats that look the exact same.

the cracks are on the outside where there is no support either on the top or bottom for the glue to bond to. if the cracks go all the way through the stuff and its loose and can slide it around and stuff. then i would say you need to do somthing to hold your boat together. but if its just cracked on the outsides i wouldnt be too worried.

if theres a gap between the glue and the fiberglass then the glue isnt doing its job anymore. but in your pics it looks ok.
