Does anyone have any tips on how to back out the broken reverse lock nut thread portion of the hole it was screwed into? There is absolutely no part of the lock nut to grab onto in order to back it out.

Hmmmm... if you broke that bolt head off, then it's almost got to be cross-threaded into the reverse arm. I'm betting you're going to have to drill it out and tap it. There's just not going to be any easy way to get that out of there. :-(

The bolt head broke by itself which is why I am replacing.

I ended up using an exact-o knife to score the broken off piece of the reverse lock nut as the center is hollow and smooth and gently hammered a thin screwdriver between it and the housing which broke it and it came out in 3 pieces. Some guy in the tool section of Lowe's hardware suggested that and it worked wonderfully.

Well cool beans... I wouldn't have thunk it. Glad to hear you got it out!

Somehow I don't think your GTX has the same reverse mechanism as my RXT, the bolt that mounts the reverse cable to my reverse lever arm (which pulls the reverse cup down) isn't hollow on mine.
