how to clean intercooler 1630 ace

hi everyone
I put the camera inside the intercooler and saw this picture. Is this normal and how can I clean it? Maybe someone can advise?

Short answer is yes it is normal.

Every 4tec I have seen has oil in the intake from the separator. Some are worse than others.

Often the IC also has condensation in depending on the humidity and water temperature diff. They mix and form this crud like deposit.

I have flushed mine out with gasoline once but to be honest, I don't think it matters for thr effort.

BTW, yours looks tame. Mine was like TAR in some points.

If you are not adding oil regularly it is normal.

thanks guys i have cleaned it with carb cleaner and it has cleaned up fine

I have taken mine out and use brake cleaner. With it out of the ski you can shack it around with the brake. Came out like new
