Hey All,
If I wanted to completely change out the coolant in our new(used) 2006 GTX Wake Edition ski how would you drain it? How often should you replace the coolant?

Thanks for any info.

Disconnect the circulation hose (starboard side) that goes to the heat exchanger and get a bucket ready, then tilt the bow of the ski up as close to 45 degrees as possible. Crack a pintsky, by the time your done your beer re attach the hose. And filler' back up with the coolant of your choice.

Thanks much. A guy at the jet ski shop said there was a screw in the metal plate heat exchange on the bottom of the ski...is this incorrect?

Thanks again,
Raytec

That is possible, I know mine doesn't but I dont have the same ski. Also, it might take a lot longer to drain this way. I would expect it to be obvious if you do infact have a drain plug though. Really either method will get the job done. The later might just take a couple pints!!

There is a SS allen key type bolt in the very back of the heat exchanger facing you when you look at it from the back...by the size of it it may take a while to drain so it might be quicker to just pull a hose and let it drain out the billige.

I don't have a trailer and my Seadoo is on a floating dock. Can I pump the coolant out with the same pump used to change the oil?

The pump you change the oil with will take forever..your best bet is to get a pump you use to change the oil in larger boats, they have a hose fitting on the bottom and you can cut a section of garden hose to screw into the bottom of the pump then stick it in your coolant line and maybe pump it out that way..
