Anyone know the trick on how to bypass the low oil level alarm? I don't want to deactivate my beeper but am not running an oil tank as I've converted to premix. Ive already tried installing a jumper on the two pins on the one terminal that goes to the tank. Thanks!

Hmm what model Ski? I was under the impression most ski's still keep their oil reservoir regardless of switching to premix. I keep the reservoir full on mu 97 gtx even w/premix. Keeps the lower unit oiled.

On the 717 at least, you need to A) keep the oil tank connected to keep a constant supply to the rotary valve or B) create a closed loop system from the return looped into the supply with something like a T with a cap on it to add/remove/flush the RV oil. Not sure if it's the same on the 951 but if it has a RV its necessary

Ive just been informed its a normally open switch so unplugging it should be just fine. No jumper required. The buzzer I have been hearing is apparently a "hey u left the key in dummy" alarm.... so I'm told. I just got the ski to fire after swapping out harnesses and completing a top end rebuild. Im calling for it quits for the night... but the coffman boat lives again!

There's no RV. 951's are reed motors.

Makes sense! Was wondering what all those shiny anodized alien looking things were in Braley's rebuild post... Was confused bc he mentioned "reeds" and I thought it was odd bc I've been a member of this forum for 4 years and only stayed within the 717/787 realm and never heard reeds being mentioned..
Hey, the more you know...
Glad you're getting it worked out!
