1997 SEA-DOO GTI OIL INJECTION SYSTEM (GTI)

The oil level sensor tube has come out of the oil tank on my 97 GTI . Has anyone had this problem and what do I need to do to get it back into the tank?

I think it just goes in like a grommet, if it does just put some silicone lube on it then slip it in

Do you know if the oil system needs to be pressurized?

it doesn't need to be pressurized make sure its venting properly

item 3 in your diagram is a vent valve that allows air in when you loose oil. Make sure it works but that shouldn't have any link to why the float came out.

Loosen the rubber clamps, run zip ties underneath tightening it to the tank. Worked on mine. No more leaks. I got a 98 gti

Thank you, that is exactly what I did. I still need to test it out though.

Worked for me. I cleaned up the area pretty good so I could monitor any further leaks.

The grommets swell with oil and age and don't seal anymore.
New ones are still available and will stop the leaks and popping out.

Where can you get the grommet? I was able to find the grommet from the bottom on the tank instead of the top one where the sensor is?
