I have a 96 seadoo xp and when the handle bars are straight the nozle is pointing to the right. How can alaign the two again?
Thanks

loosen the nut at the back on the nossel, remove the bolt from the nossel that holds the cable on, then strighten your handlebars then go to the back and adjust your cable untill both are stright, thats how I did mine at least.

Do you mean to loosen the bolt inside the hull then make everything straight then tighten back up the bolt and then reconnect everything?
Where I see the cable go throught the hull there is a big threaded tube with a bolt... So this is where I adjust it?
Thanks

no that big black threaded thing is only the thru-hull fitting....where it attaches to the nossel there should be an adjustment, just follow the cable and you will find an adjustment on it, its just a matter of getting both stright. On mine right at the nossel to cable hookup there is a nut, loosing that then remove the bolt holding it to the nossel, then you can adjust it, put it back on the nossel, then re-tighten the nut.

yes, do you see the nut? after loosening the nut and removing the bolt, you should be able to unscrew what looks like a mini tie rod end and then tighten up the jam nut

Ok so this is probaly really easy but I'm having a dumb moment. There Is the ball joint. Then a bolt time shaft about an inch long. The after that there is a small bolt behind it. Is that what I loosen? Bc I tried and it spins then stops... I'm probaly missing something really easy here.
Thanks again for all the help

no problem, so what you have here is on the very end of the cable will be a heim joint, remove that bolt...that will disconnect the cable from the nossel...then the cable will look like its threaded, that bolt you see on it should only be a jam nut...you only need to break it loose, then with the cable disconnected you can spin the piece on the end the heim joint which will look like a mini tie rod, that will draw the cable in or out setting to center the nossel and handlebars.

sorry I missed a step...you do not need to remove the bolt holding it on. There is a jam nut along the back side of the large center adjuster, if you hook the bolt/cable back to the nossel then spin the center adjuster it should adjust the nossel for you. Sorry for the misshap

Ok I know This is an older thread but I hope it will be checked. I'm having the same problem but opposite when my bars are straight my nozzle is a little left. I don't have any more adjustment to work with on my ball joint. Meaning it is ran all the way In and I stil need the cable to move in about another 1/2inch is there any other place to adjust the cable? Thanks. Brandon
