How many hours on your 1997 GTX?

Just as the title says. Looking to see how many hours you guys have on your 1997 GTX.

I have heard the 787 2-stroke is pretty reliable as far as motors go.

I have 230 hours on mine as it sits.

My 1996 GTX (787 motor) is just about at 156 hours.

I think/feel that the motor is fine...it's all the "other" stuff that goes south - carbs, electrics, fuel components, etc....sucks getting old!

I just bought a 97 SPX, where would I find the hour meter?

Connected my CANDOO recently and my 97' GTX shows about 55 hours since the rebuild (bought it trashed), info gauge right now shows 202 hrs, but the MPEM has a different total.

You'd need to connect either a BUDS or Candoo Pro device to find out, it's stored in the MPEM.

A properly maintained 787 should get over 300 hours. The key here is "properly maintained".

Between 120-130. My rotary valve seals failed before 97 hours, other than that it runs great. Machines wear out the rougher you treat them. Like was said, maintain it properly and it should run a long while.
