how fast should a 94 seadoo xp 657x do

im doin almost 50 mph ,i wanted to know should my ski go faster then 50 mph.and what can i do to make it faster .if i change the inpeller whats the best pitch.i have the stock one on there now.or is there anything that i can do without spending alot of money to increase the speed.thanks

first you wanna get a second pump. plastic is supposed to be a little faster than bronze. as long as you are doing that, get a pump from a 787 motor. but remember, that longer pitch impeller is made for 110 horses to get that same ski moving. it will be slower out of the hole. 720 impellers are virtually identical to yours. get the bottom clean. slick. slippery.
