How does a PWC cooling circulate the water?

Can anyone tell me what causes the water to circulate in a 1996 HX Sea-doo? There is apparently no water pump in the circulating system, so what makes the water circulate?

The water is pushed through the system by the impeller. Your cooling lines hook to the jet pump and as water is pushed through the pump by the impeller it is also pushed into the cooling lines

This is why you should not run your engine for a MAX of two minutes on a garden hose. On the hose the water rund backwards to FLUSH the engine. This helps to remove any debris that came into the system to leave the system.

The garden hose isn't designed to cool the engine per-say. And as noted above, the impeller is what pushes the cooling water through the engine..

In addition, the carbon seal is not being cooled while on the hose and can burn up if ran for extended periods.

Welcome to the forum! I'm going to slide this post over to our 2-stroke section.
