How do you test the VTS Module??

I'm parting out my 96 XP and have been asked about the VTS Module. I want to test it out so I can 100% say that it is good. it worked 5 years ago but SeaDoos have a habit of breaking when sitting. my problem is I already have it out of the boat and the computer has also been removed, I need to know a way to check to see if the Module works but not sure how.
Can anyone Help?!

Are you talkin about the motor itself? If so.....hook one wire to + and one to -. doesnt matter which one you touch where. the gear should turn if its good.

Yeah I've done that and the motor worked fine but need to test the Module that controls the motor.
