I get on the water about one day per week. I may take one or both 05" RXPs. This is what I was told/learned... I get back from the ramp and start my clean up. I ride in salt water so I connect my flush kit. I use the salt away when flushing the engines. I run the engine for about 30 to 45 seconds each with the flush. I read that the plate can get very hot and there are seals that do not like to be over heated because they are not in the water... Every other time I go out I will lightly mist down the engine area to remove salt in this area. If I do this I will keep the seat off so to let the engine area totaly dry...
I treat the engine area in my RXP just like my boat engine, it gets hosed down with SeaDoo lube guard. You know what it is and how it works..I hit everything in the engine compartment and I use a whole can on the two of them everytime I clean them ..I have battery tenders on both Doos and when they are parked... There pluged in...
The outside gets a good washing everytime and cleaning.. I use a conditioner on the seat to keep it and the plastic looking new. A good wax makes my Doos look like new... I bought covers for my SeaDoos ans they look great and fit like a glove...all in all I think I got the clean up covered...
If you have anything I have missed or have better thoughts please let me know.
Thanks,Slug-O
