My rectifier was blown so i bought a new one. I read that before I install the rectifier i need to check and see if i have a bad stator. I need instructions on how i would go about this as easily as possible. Thank you in advance.

You have 2 yellow wires coming out of the MAG housing. They shouldn't be "Open" or shorted to ground. If that checks... they are probably fine.

Use a meter and go from each yellow to the engine case. (The shiny part of the sparkplug is a good place since it's clean)

ohms/resistance scales on digital multimeter (DMM)
section 8-03-2 of the service/shop manual indicates each of the yellow leads to ground should be, as Dr said above, open (infinite resistance). Reading across the 2 yellow leads should show very low, but some, resistance (0.05-0.6 ohms). Most cheap DMM are not this accurate, but by shorting the 2 meter test leads you should be able to see what the meter thinks is zero then do the math to see what the reading across the yellow leads is.
Of course all the meter testing is done with the yellow leads disconnected.
Hope this helps.

I am pretty new at SeaDoo specific things, but years of electrical and electronic work would lead me to believe this is ok.
