How do I see how many hours are on a 2001 GTI?

I am trying to sell my 2001 GTI and am trying to figure out how many hours are on it so I can give that info to the seller.

You can take it to a local dealership and have it hooked up to pull the numbers. Theres usually a fee. Not sure how close you are to a dealer though.

Thats pretty much it. Unless you wanna spend a great deal of money on a scan tool. I just paid a dealer here to hook up an 03 GTI that I purchased. $75.00 definitely worth it. Besides, it looks alot better to the buyer when you show him the printout. It pays to be honest. Good luck
