Well, I never thought I would be that guy saying I sucked a bunch of rocks through my newly rebuilt pump but thats me now. I should have known better then to rush to a new lake after work on Friday the 13th.
I was passing under a very low bridge and was just above idle when I heard it, I turned the motor off and got off on to a rock bar under the bridge. When I got to the other side I got all the rocks out of the intake and fired it up and at first I thought I was ok then it stalled. So I started it back up and it stalled again ugh.
This ski has never stalled, So I start it again and take off and instantly notice the cavitation. So I take it back to the launch and my new impeller and wear ring was wasted.
I already have the pump back off but my question is what else could I have damaged when this happened? The motor sounded strong on the way back but there was another noise that was out of the ordinary and I couldn't put my finger on where it was coming from.
