97 xp, the gas tank vent that is under the seat on the front side, right behind the fill nozzle and the other one on lh side of the hull had starting leaking fuel out of it that runs beside the water outlet. only thing i changed was fuel cap to a billet one and the exit vent to a new one from osd but i was able to blow air from that one and is pointed with arrow towards outside of the hull. im not sure why it is doing this? is the oem gas caps vented? i looked at my original and doesnt appear to be... what really sucks is the fuel ruined my graphics and mats from sitting on it. ski runs perfectly fine... anybody else have this happen before or have an idea?

There are two valves on your fuel delivery system. One that relieves pressure over about 3psi ( under rub rail) and the other is a vacuum relief valve (under seat). It sounds like your pressure relief valve is not functioning properly and the excessive tank pressure is building enough to push it back out of your vacuum relief valve. Which should not happen if it was working correctly. I would replace both of them. They are not that expensive.

i had just changed the pressure relief valve one because the old one i could not blow air through but the new one i can? the new one came from osd parts. the vacum one is definately working as thats where most of the fuel is coming out of :( maybe i will try another pressure relief valve then but surely pissed me off on what a mess and what all it destroyed. guess i should have left the oem one installed but thought it would be good maintenance to change them

Fuel coming out of the vacuum one? That should only let air in, no fuel should be able to exit the one way check valve that let's air in

Yeah, since you just replaced the pressure relief, I bet your vacuum relief valve is stuck open and you have near full tank of gas right? Change the valve under the seat.
