Hopefully a quick fix

Hey guys

I have a 2015 GTX LTD 260
My fiance and I were out enjoying the water yesterday when about 30 min into our ride her machine acted up.
She said just as she hit the throttle it bogged and then shut down.
I checked it out and the dash lights up when you hit the start button and it would emit 2 long beeps and then nothing. It wouldn't turn over.
I did the long 2hr tow back to our cottage and when I got it up on our ports it would try and turn over but just wouldn't go.
To me it was acting like a weak battery. I checked and had 12.3V and when I turned it over it was dropping down to 7V.
I phoned the dealer and of course they were no help, I had to bring it to them.
Has anyone ran into this before?
I'm thinking it's a battery issue but I can't see why the sea doo would bog and then shut down.
Any advice would be great before I dish out $150 on a battery if that's not the problem.

First thing I would do is look at the plugs, keep them in order , they can tell you alot.

I like to replace my spark plugs every year - best $10 I spend for peace of mind and reliable performance. But I think your battery is suspect at 12 volt range and dropping to 7 volt range. You may not have enough voltage under load to properly fire all the coils and keep everything running. I have had my ski start and idle fine, but fall flat under load before, and it was the battery.

I have seen batteries fail while running on the water but very rare. The seadoo will not run without a battery. It does not have an alternator like a car so it requires the battery and will shut down as soon as source voltage gets too low. Before taking to dealer, try a new battery or jump from a NON-running vehicle and check the voltage.

Seadoos with ITC do not like low voltage and you will get all sorts of error codes. If the battery is more than a year or more old, just change it. They go bad sitting if you don't put them on a tender. You can AGM ones for less than $150 bucks at most automotive stores.
